I recently purchased a new set of correct rallye wheels and trim rings/center caps. As before, when I popped on the center caps with a rubber hammer, due to various tolerances between manufacturers, the center cap NEVER seats completely flush with the rim, although it does pop in. I've tried rotating the caps 90 degrees at a time to home them in, but it doesn't work. I was out for a short cruise today and must have hit a pothole, because when I got back, I was minus the right front center cap. Great way to end a weekend!! This sounds like a candidate for an old timers solution or a rocket scientist. Has anyone ever solved this problem? Any experiences would be appreciated. Patrick
