I purchased a correct (Repro)Rad cap from Paragon...The cap
that is on now is a 13lb. the new correct cap is 7lb.
Will this affect the cooling system right now it is perfect!!My car is an early

Won't affect normal cooling performance or operating temperature at all - the lower pressure cap will only reduce slightly the temperature at which the coolant boils and "pukes" out of the overflow.
