Hi all,
My recent question on relative placement of my shifter plate and the seams on the carpet turned to another issue, so I will restate it here, so it won't be hidden by another topic heading.
I have an ad coming out in the next Driveline requesting that all 58-60 owners with Corvettes retaining some or all of their original features e or write me for a copy of a survey I am in the process now of putting together. My interest is twofold: (1) Bracketing VIN numbers as to when certain features first appeared and when those being replaced were last used, and (2) learning of what many would term as "non-typical" features that are nonetheless as correct and original as those more accepted in mainstream thought. Of course, I will send copies of the results to those who return their surveys.
All of you have been very helpful in helping me answer many questions I have had posted so far, and I would like to offer you the opportunity to provide me with questions that you think should be included in the survey. Asking the right questions is very important, so please send away!
Thanks,
Bob
PS: Here's a teaser: If your base-engine carb accelerator return spring is original, what color is it? Or what color was the one on your car when you got it before you took it off to "restore" it with another?
