    67 telescopic column

I am looking for one of these. How much would I expect to pay? Any leads? Thanks, Scott!

    Re: 67 telescopic column

    Scott--
There was one on ebay a while back, rebuilt. Another at Carlisle. $1800-2500 for those two. One unrestored at Carlisle was $1650 asking price.

        Re: 67 telescopic column

I was told that you can make a 68 tele into a 67. In fact, I sort of knew someone that used to do that and make good money suposedly. I don't think there is a lot of difference between them. I paid $600 for one about a year ago on ebay and it was fairly nice. I put about $150 into parts and a little time. It came out looking like NOS and functions perfectly. Was a fun project.

You heard; sorta bought a sixty what year tele

Corvette trivia is so fascinating How was this conversion done?
Was a 68 Standard column converted to a 67 Tele?
Or was a 68 Tele column converted to a 67 Tele?
While one is rather abundant, the other is by no means a common article.

          And you bought one?

PS Did you see the fellow on the CF ask about putting a 455 Olds in a small block C3? Sometimes these part substitutions are very educational.

I purchases a 68 tele for $600 on ebay. I did not try to convert it. I wouldn't know the first thing to do. I enjoyed rebuilding it and it was educational. If I knew exactly what a 67 looked like, I could tell you more, but I know nearly nothing about C2's. Terry

                Re: 68 Tele

Contact Scott Smith. He is a long time NCRS member. He has had restored tilt/tele in the past. I am not sure how to contact him, but I think he is in Indiana. Maybe someone on here knows how to contact him.

It's good to see you got all patched up with CF, Geoffrey! (Or, mabye you didn't forgive them, you're only lurking over there incognito? ) And, now you're driving a C6 too!...What IS this Corvette world coming to?
