Yes Dale, it was all in fun. No such test is scheduled as far as I know. There IS a difference between the 58-63 and 64 and newer headlamp brightness but I don't think there's any way to actually field test without using some pretty fancy equipment.

Michael, You may think your idea is in jest but actually I heard some judges at Marlborough stating that if they tested how dim some of the original T-3's really were the boys and girls would flunk ops. By the way I was disappointed that the mech team didn't say nuttin about your green washer fluid. They did like your orange hose detail though. CC liked the orange plug in JR's cross shaft too. Checked it personally. Actually he didn't know if it was red or orange. Just felt for it. Well now what boring subject we gonna talk about. Things are rather slow lately. Must be the winter blues coming. NCRS events around here about done for the year. Gonna be a long winter. Today it was 41 degrees. brrrrr. I see the swamp temp today was in the 80's. Did you see the poor z06 all fried. Boy do those cars look bad when they burn. Betcha it has a new body by now. My Atwood subject has fizzled out for now. I learned a lot about ATwood's though. Learned that not many know much about midyear hood supports. Learned that not even one of the originals reported had black washers. Learned that the part is full of inconsistencies as far as stamping goes. Typical production part. John

            Wait for the BIG test!

Yep, some chapters are buying gas chromatigraphs so they can sample the air in the tires, compute parts per million of DDT pesticide present and authenticate that aspect of factory originality. In preparation, we've started a 'mining' operation outside Denver where we're digging down into the high mountain glaciers to recover air bubbles trapped from the 50's and 60's, so we can recover it and auction it on eBay...
