1966-427 oil pan baffle fastener torque

Is there a torque specification for the nuts which fasten the oil pan baffle to the main bearing studs? Should lock nuts with flat washers be used? Any special type lock nut required? Thanks.

    Rich-----

GM never published a toque spec for these nuts. However, I use a "standard" value for 3/8-16 grade 8 nuts of 30-35 lb/ft.

You can use self-locking nuts with a flat washer. However, I use regular nuts with Lock-Tite threadlocking compound and a flatwasher.
