I just purchased a 1973 small block and see there's a Holley 4BBL on it instead of what I think is suppose to be a Rochester 4BBL. It is the 190 hp engine. I have checked Corvette by the numbers reference and see that the 1973 shows the Rochester 4BBL. Is this correct?? Is there any way a June 1973 engine build whould have a Holley? Thanks - Joe 46306

Re: 1973 carburetor
Yes, that is correct...no more Holleys after 72 LT1. Depending on the transmission, the correct part number for the Rochester is 7043202 (THM) or 7043203 (4-speed). This info straight from the NCRS 1968-1982 Corvette Specifications Guide available in the NCRS store.- Top

Re: 1973 carburetor
Does your Holley have the list numbers 6210 stamped on it? If it is the spreadbore style Holley and a 6210 you have a 650 Holley and a double pumper which gives the driver absolute control of when the huge secondaries are used. Have had one on my 68 L79 since 1974. It was an easy change over, solved the
leaking of gas from the fuel bowl I had with the Quadra-Jet.- Top
