need to ID label from 1972 LT1 -

After reinstalling the A.I.R. system I found a hose tag/wire tag (some kind of tag/label) with the capital letters TG in red on it.

It is about 1-3/4' long and 1/2' wide. The letters "TG" are on each end of the tag/label.

The material is like paper , but with a coating on the side with the lettering.

I believe it came off of a hose on the left side of the engine compartment, but not necessarily the A.I.R. system on this side. Maybe from something else.

Any ideas what it is and where it goes?

No pictures -- just the red X of death

THe only TG I know of is from the brake master cylinder -- you do have power brakes, right? The TG tag goes on the front bail wire of the master cylinder.

Can also go on the rear bail wire--my 30,000 mile 71 LT-1 convertible has it on the rear. Terry is right--it is for the master cylinder for a power brake car.
