        Is that transverse broach marks

and an extra digit in the pad stamping?

Solved the spelling problem this time, but looks like he can't count.
Maybe the stamper was distracted by the demonstrator

A Tonawanda number stamp package with 8 characters?? This one's going to go in the same folder as the Fonawanda restamp. Both will be in the running for first place in the wackiest restamp contest. Is this really the engine from the ebay 67?

Also seems odd that the tip of the water pump

casting is so high above the pad. I'd say this block or at least the pad has had some serious mill work done to get that low.

I dunno Patrick, I really like the Fonawanda stamp also. Both have such character and uniqueness. Difficult to choose.

                      I know.

And on both of them the broach marks look like they were done by my 7 year old working on an art project with 120 grit paper.

Seems like I remember one a while back on ebay that was stamped something like Jan 54th, or maybe it was the 14th month?? We sure get some strange "original blocks" on ebay.
