    71 LT-1 vaccum can

What is the correct number and vacuum rating for a 71 LT-1? The one I'm working on has the original cut off. What is a correct/adequate replacement?

Sorry about misspelling vacuum--poor proof reading!

A "suitable replacement" to the OE VAC is the B1 (NAPA/Echlin VC 680) , but I recommend converting the vacuum signal from ported to full time and using a B28 8" VAC (VC1810).

You can cross reference these NAPA numbers at other ignition components vendors Web sites, but I don't trust the Delco cross reference. All the VACs should have the same ID number, including Delco, unless you happen to get a NOS part that's been sitting in inventory for 15 years.
