The brake drum casting numbers on my 61 are GM 3752623 3. I suspect that this is not original or correct. What did they come off and what are the correct numbers for my application? Also, are the front and rear and left and right all identical? Thanks.

GM casting #3752623 are exactly the castings for the brake drums that I would expect to find on a 1961 Corvette with standard brakes and original brake drums. Of course, I can't say whether the ones you have are originals or replacements since the same casting was used for SERVICE brake drums for quite awhile thereafter. Nevertheless, I believe that the casting number is correct for your car. Other castings MAY also have been used.
All 4 brake drums for a 1961 Corvette with standard brakes were the same.In Appreciation of John Hinckley -

I really don't know, I don't recall that feature, but it's possible. In any event, whether they were or not would not affect the casting number for the drums one way or the other.In Appreciation of John HinckleyComment
