I am ready to install the hood weatherstrip. I am unsure of the proper location on the hood (near the edge or abut the back of the raised panel)and also the orientation of the weatherstrip itself. The original was gone and I can't really tell by the AIM. Thanks,Gary

A cross-section of the weatherstrip will show a 90* corner with a radius where the two surfaces meet; that corner goes where the horizontal underside of the rear edge of the hood meets the vertical surface of the rib at the rear of the hood inner panel, and the two flat surfaces on the weatherstrip (the legs extending from the corner radius) lie against the flat surfaces on the hood and the rib. Use 3M yellow weatherstrip adhesive (wipe the weatherstrip with alcohol first to remove the mold release compound), and be sloppy with it like St. Louis was.
