I saw an early '54 the other day and the emblem in the middle of the steering wheel was just the regular '50s Chevrolet emblem like you would see on any passenger car. If this was a replacement, it was a very old one. Did some come with these? Were there some that had them when the Corvette ones ran out?
did the steering wheel itself resemble a pass car steering wheel(notches on the radial bars that go out to the ring portion of the steering wheel vs corvette 53 to 55 wheels that don't have the notches/reliefs). anyway, the pass car horn emblem will fit both the pass car wheels as well as the vette 53 to 55 wheels. almost certainly an emblem that ole Bubba installed as i've never seen or heard of a early c-1 with the pass horn emblem.mike
It is shaped like the emblem on the center of the hubcap with a small blue bowtie in the middle and a red area in upper left and lower right and an area of five white squares in the lower left and upper right.
