My smallblock oilpan presently has a small head plug and I seem to recall many many years ago seeing oil pan plugs with larger heads (size of a nickel or quarter)than the head on the plug I have. Is the following plug correct for a 68 smallblock:
9/16 hex head with a 7/8 metal flange molded to the bolt, thread size is 1/2 by 20 and of course there is a white plastic/fiber washer.
Is this the correct plug or should I be looking for a larger head type plug?
Thank you,
Kurt
