    parking brake - interior system

I'm converting my stock '64 parking brake (interior part) to a '67 system. I'm having difficulty determining what pieces are required and can't seem to find a good assembly picture illustrating how the pieces relate. The common parts houses seem to have most, but not all of the various parts that I think I need. Can anyone point me in the right direction to buy the parts. Ecklers has some and Corvette Central has some, but not sure that together they have it all. If someone has a picture they can pass on to me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know how much info you have. You'll need a "cable pulley assy" and bracket that is mounted on the frame, A bracket to hold the e-brake lever riveted to the interior (see Photo), A lever assy with cable, The brake switch and mounting assy, a new console piece and probably some other things I've forgotten

Thank you, Steve, for the pix. Maybe I should explain further. All the items not located in the interior are on the frame or drivetrain and those I have since the car is modified with Corvette disc brakes in all corners and a removeable cross member (has cable wheel) at the transmission. I'm missing a few pieces in the interior and didn't have a picture of the assembly there. I'm particularly interested in how the handle/ratchet assembly (I have) is mounted to the body, and all the hardware that mounts to the plastic cover. I have a pretty good idea about most of it, but there are still some pieces about which I'm uncertain.

Look at the photo closely. There is a sheet metal bracket that is riveted to the floor and the brake lever bolts to it. There are also tabs on this piece that are for attaching the plastic cover.
I don't think this piece is available new, so you need to look at the Corvette bone yards. Paragon might be able to help you or Chicago Vette Supply..... they both have some used parts

Steve - I believe you're correct about the piece that goes between the floor and the ratchet assembly. I wonder why no one has made a repro yet - there's bound to be a market since all (most?) the other pieces are available (I think). Thanks again.

            Don -

You'll also have to 'glass-fabricate (or cut out of a donor car) the tunnel section that bracket attaches to; won't work with your flat '64 tunnel.

Thanks for the input, John. Appears that I will have to fabricate a mount for the whole interior assembly, probably out of aluminum. This has become much more of a project than I anticipated.
