Would A 519 block with a casting date of L188 and a pad stamp F1219 be correct for a car built March 13, 1959? It is not a Corvette block. Thanks, Jimmy

Yes, that casting and engine assembly date works (within the six-month "window") for a March car. Most of the block points are for the correct casting number and casting date, and the block you describe meets those criteria for full judging credit; you didn't mention the suffix after the "F1219", but if the suffix is incorrect for the Corvette application, you'd only get a deduction for an incorrect stamp (50 points on a '59).- Top
