    winshield wiper switch

I'm trying to remove the winshield wiper switch from my 65. Looking at my assembly manual ( ...and car)there is a "nut" that holds this switch on. It doesn't look like anything I have a tool for. Does anybody know what tool it takes to remove this nut???? More importantly where I can buy one! ...Thanks.

      Ed,
I replaced my wiper switch last year and tried using a screwdriver to tap the special retaining nut off but it was on too tight.I found a friend who had the special barrel tool that has two tabs that fit into the nut depressions and it worked great. He was an old time mechanic and had the tool for a long time. I am sure they are out there but would try using a screwdriver, tapping in a counterclockwise direction first.
      Regards,
      Rick

          Ed,
I forgot to mention that I also tried a pair of needle nose pliers but like I said before, my retaining nut was on too tight.
          Regards,
          Rick

The right tools really simplify the job, and will prevent dings/gouges/scratches.
