The 67 C-2 4 sp has a Hurst shifter installed long ago by a previous owner. When reinstalling the original 4 speed shifter, is there any special brackets that need to be installed or removed? In the assembly manual it looks like it would be a direct change. Are the bolts the same length, He has all the original shifter and rods that came off the car(he was told).Thank you Dale

Dale-----
Original shifters for all 1967 Corvettes were mounted to a bracket that was mounted to the crossmember. Most Hurst shifter mount to a plate which attaches to the side of the transmission extension housing (prior to early 1966, stock Corvette shifters mounted to the extension housing, too). To install the stock shifter in the stock configuration you need to obtain this bracket (it's available in reproduction). From there, all you need is the stock shifter assembly, the stock shifter rods, and the stock shifter levers (the Hurst may use these already). In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
