    Re: Not New News...

The concept that a car is suddenly worth more money solely because of a Chapter level Flight certificate indicates that there are at least two fools on this planet, the seller and the buyer. Possibly three, but I'll leave that one alone.

    Re: Not New News...

    Mike,

It's unfortunate that you are calling me a fool. You are being too roundabout, though.......why not just state it directly, if that's how you feel! Not everybody knows that a chapter Top Flight means dick. There are a lot of people who don't know this! I would not call them fools, though. They are just not as savvy as you or I. I know it, you know it, and many of us know it. But what about all of those that do not! Like, maybe those drunken fools who spend tons of money at those Barret-Jerkson feeding frenzies.

That is all beside the point. There should be NO PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT GIVEN TO ANYONE, whether at a chapter level, or higher. The person who comitted the crime (and who shall remain nameless) is a master judge, who knows better.

Now, tell me how my reasoning, or my integrity is that of a fool.

    Yours truly,
    Joe Ciaravino

      Joe,

If you want to nominate yourself as the third fool, be my guest. I don't know you other than by your posts here, so would not be the best judge of character.

My opinion of attaching unrealistic importance to the alleged actions of one judge (1 of at least 10 that judge each car) at one chapter meet remains unchanged.

If a person (fool or not) really understands the judging system, the deliberate or inadvertant incorrect decisions of one judge should not go unchallenged by the others, and/or should not have that great an effect on the overall outcome.

If you know different, then point out the particular details and let's drop the cloak and dagger stuff.

        Mike,

I would like to talk to you personally, on the telephone. Please respond "off-line'. I have unlimited telephone minutes, so I'll provide my home phone number and the call will be on my "dime".

            Why not

take this up with the judging chairman who was at the meet, the relevant chapter chairman, and/or the National Judging Chairman.

I'm sure any of them would exercise appropriate discretion.
