Is there information out there that explains 1) How to adjust 2) Difference between adjusting the solenoid for idle and adjusting the carb throttle stop?
I am looking to make sure that the solenoid is set properly.

The CSM (Chassis Service Manual) essentially tells you to get the engine warmed up, then set curb idle (see table) to the proper RPM with the solenoid de-energized. Then, force the energization of the solenoid (CSM should tell you how to disconnect a wire from the control relay to FORCE the solenoid to fire) and adjust the length of the solenoid's plunger (wrench on the hex head) to INCREASE engine RPM according to the table in the CSM (typically a 75-200 RPM delta) and you're done...
