I own a 1964 365hp 327, my problem is that my 650cfm HOLLEY runs great one day and bad the next on the same tank of gas. I have electronic ignition, new cap/rotor, plug wires and plugs. jerry scudder member #40900
Sorry, Jerry, I think the "Carb Doc" is "OUT" today. Anyway...What makes you think the problem is in the carb? (Maybe we can get some conversation started. )
You need to define "runs bad"... what are the symptoms, and under what conditions are you seeing them (ie, cold, warm, acceleration, high rpm, steady state, low speed, cutting out, surging, hesitation, starting, etc, etc, etc) and tell us why you blame the Holley.
conditions: cold, hot, taking off, accelerating, high RPM, cutting out, then the next time it would run fine. I`m not that good of a mechanic, but I`ve replaced about everything else.
Jerry
