I would like to alert NCRS members to a seller listing corvette parts on ebay. They has had several several differnt names,(email me and I will give them to you) one item was a bait and switch. Another was a item that sold, then he demanded to cancel the next day for non payment the auction ended Friday at 9;13 PM. He demanded payment by Sunday AM. Sunday afternoon he alerted Ebay falsely that the buyer did not want to finsh the transaction. They got him on this. This party operates out of Culvert City Ca. He has other items on Ebay now. I also have a mailing address and phone number. Dale

Re: E bay fraud.
Well, This guy has connections at ebay. I was sent a message that I could not pay or the item that I won. It has been relisted just 2 days after the end of my Auction. Looks like ebay is willing to trade a customer with 540 positives(100%)for one with 42 postives(95%). I wish I were more computer literate. I guess I should be glad, it will probably another bait and switch as he did to my friend. PS the shipping went up 10.00. D/- Top

I am an NCRS member and I appreciate your alert.
I'd like to see the auctions you're talking about, but there isn't enough info in your post for a simple, one-celled person (like me) to investigate further. If you're going to supply the seller's alias by e-mail anyway, why not just put them in your initial post? This guy did you dirt. Why not spotlight his ass?
I'm not familiar with Culvert City, CA. Is it near Manhole Heights?- Top

Re: E bay fraud.
I've had something similar happen to me about 4 years ago. I bought a parts lot and apparently the seller figured out he would have made more money selling the items separately...(duh)
He just chose to ignore me as the winner and relisted the items. I think his user name was "Dagoneit" or something very similar. I posted a negative feedback and of course he did the same because he was ticked at me.
I've had other people email me about the guy since. One person nearly lost 5K to this crook on a some "nonexistant" NOS parts he claimed to have bought at an estate sale.
He was so bold he told the buyer to rot in hell because he wasn't going to refund his money. Luckily, the buyer had connections in law enforment in the city were the jerk lived.
BTW, I'm still waiting for a responce to my email to you. I'd like to know who is user name is

A feedback rating of 95.7 tells much
This seller's feeback rating of 95.7 tells you a lot. I never buy from e-bay sellers with feedback ratings of less than 98.0, and I woouldn't go that low if the auction was for more than $100.

Re: Nah. Here he is:
Dale,
If I were you I'd just shake this off. You can post a negative feedback, but odds are you will get one in return. Unless you sent him money, you aren't really out anything. EBay will not "make" a seller follow through with the deal.
You can always open another eBay account using a Hotmail email address and bid on the items again. if he pulls a repeat performance, post a negative feedback using this new account. That way if he post negatives on you, you will keep your "good" account clean.
