c3 carpets

I am working on redoing the interior of my 72 vert. This is a almost daily driver that I am keeping relitivly stock but not a oposed to little changes that make it a better driver as long as I can do a body off someday when I finish my 61 and mid year first.

I need some suggestions on carpet.

1. Is there any advantage to using a cut pile rather than the loop? Does it wear better? How a bout looks. I have the original tank sticker and the car came with standard interior. Is converting to custom interior dificult?

2. Who is a good supplier?
I have heard that Al Knock has good stuff but his carpets, while cheaper, do not have the sound and heat backing that Mid America has, any sugestions here.

Personally, I prefer the looks and durability of the base, low loop, carpet to the optional cut pile but I think that's a personal cosmetic issue. Understand that other interior trim components changed when the cut pile carpet was installed (e.g. door panels)...

Al Knoch. I would keep the carpet original if it were mine. But I do prefer the loop carpet. It hold's up much better than the plush.J.M.H.O. Tom
