The 67 judging manual indicates that the injection tubes (which mount to the exhaust manifolds) are tapered rather than crimped, and that crimped are replacements. Do we know that that was true throughout the year?
The reason I ask--in correspondence with a California friend who has a late 67 Camaro that he's had since the early 80's, and which had an absolutely unmolested AIR system, I discovered that the tubes on that car are crimped, not tapered. That car has every numbered hose, dated hose clamp, etc. from the factory. I realize that's a Camaro, but that got me wondering.
So, again, my question: were those always tapered in 67, or were some crimped, possibly later in the model year?
