    C3-Cooling system

I recently changed out the radiator in my 72 and I seam to have an air pocket in the system. I hear the gurgleing in the heater core. Also, I am getting a foaming overflow from the expansion tank after I run the car. What is the best way to get rid of the air pocket?
    Thanks for the help.

Drain a little coolant out, a gallon or so, remove the heater hose that goes on the fitting on the intake, add coolant slowly until it starts coming out the fitting. Replace the heater hose and finish filling the system up. This should take care of your air pocket

You can also drill a 1/16" hole in the edge of the thermostat. This lets the trapped air move up the hose and out. Any bigger can affect proper heating. I used to use 1/8" holes but in Chicago one winter, I had to change a thermostat because I couldn't maintain heat when stopped for a light. The engine would cool down.

If you drive only in warm areas, that won't be a problem.
