PF 1218 Oil Filter

Well time for an oil change on my 66 SB. Add 1 more to Duke's Shell Rotella CL-4 converts.

I thought I 'd opt for the AC Delco PF 1218 as I read here it was a full quart capacity and I would keep my car "all GM". I suspect Delphi doesn't make these any more but I was surprised it was only 4 1/2 " long. It did not even have a silk screened label, just a cheapo stick-on paper label on a generic blue can. Where else did the supplier cut corners?

Back to Napa.

i think PF35L filters are still available

and they are the long ones like the orignal PF35s. they are synthenic media and are expensive

the 1218 use to be long went short about a year ago---if you want the same blue and want to peel the sticker get the stp9100s full quart---checked valved for 4X4 nice heavy filter will work just fine

I don't recommed Shell Rotella. I recommend API CI-4 or CI-4 Plus.

Rotella is just one of MANY brands.
