My new friend Duke and I went through my 66 last Saturday and he feels it might be a Bowtie canidate. He spent an entire day going through my car and it was dearly appriciated. The JMit says that it has to be judged at a National level to acheive Bowtie, the problem is that the next National near me is in 2009. Is there any other way??

Re: Bowtie Info
Harry, I believe that one of the prerequisites to qualify for the Bowtie judging is that the car has to be brought to a Regional and the Team Leader for that division, Ray Morrison in your case, has to view the car and deem it qualified in one or more sections.Dick Whittington- Top

Re: Bowtie Info
I'm encouraging Harry to Bowtie this car - no doubt in my mind that it's a fine candidate. It's a '66 L-72 that sat in a garage for 30 years - 58K miles, and with some small exceptions it is basically original and unmolested.
After inspecting the car some pieces fell into place, and I realized that I have a personal connection to this car.
It may be worth a Corvette Restorer article, but I think some are tiring of "found in the barn stories".
I hope we can all encourage Harry to go through the Bowtie process. There aren't to many unrestored, unmolested L-72s left.
