I have not done them but I read the most recent restorer and it looks simple. I wouldn't hesitate to try one. I have a few ideas on how to work out the rivet issues, etc. Terry
This subject was recently discussed.... Ron was recommended by several... Depends on what you are looking for.... I was told Ron's refurbish will have zero points deduction.... If that's not a huge issue for you... then there are several others. I am very pleased with mine!
I had the Horn Works rebuild mine; they look and sound great. It took 10 days and the price was very reasonable. I don't believe Ron Goralski is still in business. PT
Hmmm. I would like to try it. If you had a vise and a drill press, you would be home free and a dremel tool. It looks like you have a lot of feedback. I believe there are a couple people that are rebuilding them. Sounds like they do nice work. Terry
Again, if points is part of your consideration, the casing is rivited... you need to have a set up that you can acurately press the rivets without cracking the plastic casing... Good Luck. BTW.... I did mine with Ron Goralski this summer,,, turn around was fast..... You gotta believe in a vendor who will send the part back to you with an invoice. First time I have'nt been asked to prepay. Now there's a guy who believes in his work!! Sounds and looks GREAT!!
I got ahold of Ron Goralski, and I sent my horns off yesterday. A lot of people have recomended him so I thought I would give him a try. He did say he is doing quite a few horns right now, so he's a little back logged, but I'm not in too much of a hurry anyway.
