65 KO Wheel Adapters - Longer Lug Nuts?

I ordered and installed those special longer lug nuts for my 65 KO wheel adapters and found that a couple of the wheels are squeaking after the wheels warm up to operating temperature.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I've gotten along for over 20 years without them .... I only put them on now after I let a corvette repair shop talk me into them after they mis-mounted one of my wheels (that I fortunately noticed before driving away).

    Glenn,

You did a good thing by installing those long lug nuts. They virtually insure that your wheels will never be indexed incorrectly on the adapter because a spinner won't engage the threads if someone inadvertenly tries this. As for the squeek you now have, I can think of no reason why installing correct lug nuts would cause this. Bill
