C1 Non Tech Questions

I am working on a '59 and have 4 questions. Help/advice would be appreciated.

1. The Vin plate just inside the drivers door was lost by the previous owner. Does anyone know where a replacement can be bought. If not could someone send me a picture of what it should look like.

2. Just below the place the Vin plate goes my car has a 1/16" deep oval recess - about the size of an egg. What is/was that for?

3. On one of my front fenders there is a slight recess about 1"above the cove. On the other fender its not there. Which is correct?

4. Where the rear wheel would throw mud onto the body there is a small molding. Where a mud flap would go. Its about 3" long. Is that standard?

I will make some slightly educated WAG's on your 4 questions. #1 Replacement plates can be found but that is hot legal/ethical issue (look on EBAY for photos of actual VIN plates). #2 Recess for interior light switch, comes on as you open door. #3 No recess above cove unless you are talking about TOP of fender, 57 and earlier had "scoops" and you may be seeing some remnant/mutant bodywork. #4 No standard mud flap but Mr Roy Braatz can probably tell you about a possible dealer item mud flap.
