Last summer I bought four new rotors for my 69 from the local jobber. Two are Raybestos and are not drilled for rivets. The other two are house brand ones and they are drilled for rivets. Since I bought them I have forgoten which are for the front or rear but I would assume that the drilled ones are for the front. Not a big deal...I'll just contact the jobber with the p/n and we'll figure it out. Anyways, since both types look the same to me as far as appearances go, is there any difference dimension wise between the front and rear rotors. My original rear ones have the machined area for the parking brake but not on the front ones. My original front ones have "balancing" holes drilled into what would have been the machined area for the parking brake but the rears obviously are not drilled in this area. Other than these two machining differences I cant see any difference between my original front and rear rotors.
What I'm getting at is if the rotors are the same dimensionaly then it won't matter if I swap the front with the rears or vise versa. If that is the case then I'll probably return the the undrilled rotors and get two of the drilled rotors.
