Console Shift Plate Restoration Help

Thanks to Kent Keech, my gauges are off to Corvette Instruments to be restored. Next is the console shift plate, which for 1968 was yet another 1 year only part.

Can someone please provide me with the name & phone # of a restorer that does this kind of work.

Please let me know how you liked the work & the approximate prices.

I "assume" you mean the usual heavy metal plate about 6x14 inches that surrounds the shifter. This is not a difficult part to restore yourself if you're handy. I've done several myself and they've always passed judging. If you'd like some instructions, I've posted them here previously, else let me know.

It may come to that, & I would have no problem doing it. Especially since Andy Cannizzo does not restore these items for the C-3.

This is a pretty visible item & I want to make sure that it is perfect. After all of the work I've done on the car, I'm getting a little lazy.

I'll figure something out.
