1970 Engine Block casting #

I am trying to help a friend that bought a 1970 coupe 350ci 350hp 4 speed. I am trying to figure out if this is the correct engine. Hopefully somebody will be able to tell me.
Engine Block casting # 3970010 the deck is stamped V0123CTH and 70S400744
Vin 194370S400744
Head casting number 3927186 date L19 8

Assuming that it's not some sort of restamp (which I have no way of knowing), all of the numbers look to be correct for the application.

I would say that the head casting date is a year to early

I think that the year date on the casting which is reported as an "8" is actually a "9".
