Need second look at engine pad

How does this 1965 396 pad look? I believe it to be real. Still on a very active hunt. Have not found what I am looking for just yet. This is close. Opinions & sugestions needed

    Thanks

    Keith

As Mike said, the pad needs to be cleaned to proprly see the underlying broach marks. But, on those early 396 cars, the engine code suffix (IF) was individually stamped and most show some degree of offset to the engine plant source + date sequence. This one lines up almost as if the entire sequence was gang stamped...

Some will be quick to conclude the pad's been restamped as a result. BUT, I've seen more than one old original where the sequence just happened to be almost dead nuts straight/linear just by random placement of the original stamper. So, while unusual, I wouldn't jump to the conclusion the pad's been restamped just because of the linearity of the stamp. However, looking deeper (clean pad and close surface inspection) is good advice because that's what the stamp judges will probably do!

can you look at this picture

I tried to look at another view of this pad. ( I have asked for additional pics) the F is slightly off of the rest of the numbers.
