I've seen picture after picture. Seems some are shown painted semi-gloss black while others are just plain stamped steel. All I know for sure is mine are rusty and its time for a brake job. Is the trueth out there? Also looking for leads on were to find the brake adjusters (not standard). GM isn't clear on their part number so I have nothing to compair them against. Regads Larry

The fans when orginally installed from the factor, at least the cars built in May 1963 had bare metal fans. The parts for the adjusters are not available and I only have a couple of spares for my car bought many years ago. I have owned the car since new and was able to save the old ones as I worked on the car in the mid '60s. Hi Larry:
There are two Z06s in the collection I frequent, both are restored, both displayed traces of black paint on the cooling fans, ( I will E mail a picture to your address. Both of these cars are low mile cars with no racing history and neither appeared to have been apart before restoration.

For what it's worth, RPO 687 in 1962 provided fans painted in semi-gloss black.
