I know there were only 12 or so of the ZR2 produced but I would like to know if there were any differences between the regular LS6 and the ZR2 besides brakes and suspension? I have heard they may have had a different hood and/or engine components. Thanks.

Re: 1971 ZR2 hood and other differences?
-------I seem to remember that ZR2s had an L88 style radiator set-up which would necessitate a completely different radiator support. The hood is not changed from stock LS6 or LS5 for that matter. Engine would be unchanged from LS6, already a very formidable combination.........Bill S- Top

Bruce-----
F-41 is the HD suspension option. It consists of larger front stabilizer bar, higher rate front coil springs and a 7 leaf rear spring.
J-56 is the HD brake option. It consists of "dual pin" front calipers, front caliper supports, caliper pistons with Pyroceram insulators on the face, and HD brake linings for all 4 calipers.
V-01 is heavy duty cooling. It consists of the installation of the GM #3007436 aluminum radiator (and supporting pieces like radiator support, hoses, etc.). No radiator shroud was used with the 3007436 aluminum radiator. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
