    1955 interior floor pan

I'm in the process of stripping paint from my interior, I found the floor on both sides in front of the seats to have a layer of white gelcoat floated over the fiberglass. I'm assuming the previous owner who raced the car did this to have a finished floor without carpet. Before I go chipping out all this resin, has any other C1 owner found this? Bottom of car looks solid, just want to make sure before I crack all this stuff out.

The floor glass look is just like the bottom look, try heating it with a heat gun or the wifes hair blower frist to soften it up
