floor board and fire wall area paint

I have a question pertaiing to paint color of the interior fiberglass (floor board area, behind the firewall insulation, behind the seats, etc). Was any of this painted and was it the car finish or something else?

On 65, no paint...just some overspray of primer and finish color. I know the wiper vent grilles were laid down on the floor boards and painted leaving an outline on the floor pan.

I have no idea what year class you're asking about; always a good idea to put your year or year class in the subject line. If you have a C1, the following probably won't apply.

For C3s, the only intentional painting INSIDE C3 bodies before trim was black-out...you should have black on the forward portion of the doors, the windshield frame, and the rear compartments. (I believe this is correct; someone slap me if it ain't. )

Otherwise, there will be some minor body color overspray on the floor adjacent to the door thresholds, and there may be some general very, very slight overspray in random areas inside the passenger compartment from overshots and spray falling into the compartment...paint must have been a fast and furious operation. This IS NOT worth reproducing...if you have this overspray in random areas, just leave it there; it's hidden anyway.
