NCRS Member Help in England?

I saw the following item on eBay this morning:

I'm interested in owning these parts (cracked plenum feet, tasteful chrome lid, and all else), BUT... "Private Auction", new eBay seller with 0 feedback, and located in the Mother Country? Gee, that takes a bunch of faith in mankind. I'm a quart low on that right now.

Is there an NCRS member near this town who can verify that this unit and the seller are real? I'm not looking for a free favor.

That is a very small town in Scotland....not much there but an old castle and a distillery. It's halfway between Inverness and Aberdeen....about 20 miles in from the coast.

You've also made your auction Private and I won't be able to identify those I'm bidding against. Private auctions have a terrible reputation here in America.

Could you please tell me something about yourself? It would be very reassuring if you could provide some references within the NCRS. Perhaps you could link me to a website with users I could contact who are familiar with you.

My daughter went to school in Edinburgh. Would you mind if one of her friends came to inspect your parts?

I EMAILED THE GUY IN ENGLAND AND DID NOT GET GOOD ANSWERS.
THEN I NOTICED IN HIS RESPONSE THAT HE HAD A U.S YAHOO EMAIL ADDRESS.
I QUESTIONED HIM ON THAT AND HE SAID THAT I HAD A U.S. EMAIL ADDRESS ALSO.
I GUESS OHIO IS STILL IN THE U.S.
BEWARE OF THIS EBAY SELLER.

Jerry, I sent the seller of the FI unit several emails and got no reply at all. I have seen that FI before though. Wonder what caused ebay to cancel the auction. Probably cause it was being offered for way less that market value. Or maybe because they got complaints of questioned never answered by potential buyers. John
