Should a 63 340 HP ( Jan built car ) have the exhaust shields on the head pipes under the floorboards? Some of the catalogs I see don't list them for the 340 HP. I have an original set, but don't want to install them if incorrect. Thanks !

Assembly Manual states "Part number 3828285,LH and 3828286 RH shield assy assenbled same as regular production. A good AIM is a necessary tool to have.Bill Clupper #618- Top

Re: 63 340 HP exhaust shields
Tom, I used to own a CA car 340 HP RE engine car that was bascially all original except for a fake fuel unit and a red paint job and it had the exhaust heat shields on. The judging manual refers to this also as well as what Clupper told you. John- Top

Re: 63 340 HP exhaust shields
Thanks John:
I read the JM and just didn't know for sure if all cars had it or not. I was confident my car was correct in having them ( since I bought an original set ) but a catalog I was looking at didn't include them in the 340 HP section. Thanks for both of your replies, I appreciate it. I'll be installing the shields now !!Tom Hendricks
