    C2 Power Steering Adjustment

Does anyone know where I can find the adjustment procedure for the P/S control valve on Midyears? The valve has a screw on one end covered with a dust cover.
    Thanx!

    Don,

This adjustment is outlined in the 1963 service manual. Unhook the hydraulic assist cylinder rod from the frame mount and start the engine then turn the adjusting nut to null the valve. If the adjustment is way out the rod may move out fast so be careful it does not hit the frame bracket and get damaged.

      Don,

If by chance you're installing a valve rebuilt by Lonestar Caliper, it will be balanced already. They conveniently balance them before sending them out.

Do NOT reach through the steering wheel to start the engine on a car with a fresh unbalanced control valve - it can break your arm.
