The carpet in my recently purchased 1965 Coupe is relatively new and in good shape. When I removed the seats I noticed that there are no cutouts for the seat mounts. I have searched the archives and there appears to be many opinions on this subject. From the archives I now uderstand what the cutouts for the front seat mounts should look like, but I'm still not sure if the carpet should be cutout around the rear hold down brackets. The catalogs show that the rear hold down brackets sit on support plates which in turn sit on the fiberglass. Does the carpet covers the support plates and the hold down brackets sit on top of carpet? Also, should there be cutouts in the carpet for the seat track, running between the front and rear seat mounts? Thank you in advance for your help.
