I don't think there is an actual code. I like Krylon Chevy orange.

If you stop by your local paint supply shop, and ask for a quart of enamel Chevy orange (assuming you want to spray it) they will likely have the code and be able to mix it for you.

now check this response...I got that on a different corvette forum...So i thought i would share it with you

PPG paint. Here is the factory-correct color code and the whole mixing formula:-

PPG Delstar Chevy Engine Orange, DAR #60524 H Mixing Formula (1 qt, cummulative): DMR 400 4.0 units, DMR 405 160.0 units, DMR 464 660 units, DXR 495 680 units, DMR 499 1250 units, Mix the paint 8:6:1 Delstar/DTR601 Reducer/DXR80 Catalyst and shoot it with a paint gun. If you have a new engine back from the machine shop and it’s bare metal, prime the entire engine, block, heads, etc. with PPG DP40LF Epoxy Primer mixed 2:1 with DP402LF Catalyst.

See, I told you paint shops would have this info.

That's how someone got it for you. But unless you happen to have a PPG dealer as your supplier, it probably won't mean squat to the guy behind the desk selling DuPont paint. He will have a different code.

I get Dupli-Color DE-1620 (rattle can)at my local NAPA store. Many other auto parts stores also carry it. Works great!
