        Roy,
Nothing against your copper car, I love it, but blue was always my favorite. Do you know anything about this car?

          Roy-

The original bubbletop is interesting. The top has a large white area, which I assume is there to block out direct sunlight. Is this the way the top was originally made/painted, or is the white a later add-on?

          Thanks

          Russ

I know nothing about it but some time back the guys asked me if I could fix the broken bubble top corners.

This is car number 1189. Was pennant blue available that early in the 1954 production sequence?

I my opinion it could , a lot about what was done back then are guesses , they say the 55 copper color was a later color for the 55 but I have a guy in Spain that has #22 copper 55 Corvette> I've seen pic. Of the Corvette before he restored it and believe it really was original copper. Nothing is written in stone about C1's

                    John,

From research I did waaaaay back when I had '54 #362, Pennant Blue started sometime in March 1954.

Roy-- There is a picture of wire wheels that come with this car although they are not on car. The wheels do not appear to be in great shape. What would you do with the wire wheels== can they be rechromed. . What about the lack of hub caps on the wire wheels and how would you deal with that?

                        Don -

Dayton Wire Wheel can restore them; they do a big business restoring vintage wire wheels of all kinds (their own, Kelsey-Hayes, Dunlop, Rudge, Borrani, etc.).

They can be rebuilt and I have a guy that repro's the caps.
