    Re: 68 Battery Question

Actually it's Antique Auto Battery that makes them. When mine developed a crack in the case last year, they did not require that I ship them back my old one. You could always give them a call, as they were very nice about it too.

      Re: 68 Battery Question

I'd borrow a serious charger, one like a service station uses that can pump 50 amps for a long time and then use a light load to drain the battery completely (leave a headlamp connected to it for 48 hours) set the charger to highest setting and let it run long enough to add the wattage that would equal the amp-hour rating of the battery (rated amp hours divided by the output amps of the charger = charge time) may or may not help, but at this point it sounds like you have nothing to lose. Sometimes it is surprising what a service-station fast charger will bring back that a home unit won't touch.

        Re: 68 Battery Question

Thanks Bill. I have a friend who has one of those service station chargers and I will try it.
You are correct: I have nothing to loose at this point.
