    G.M. Part's direct.com??

Has anyone else had a problem getting a response from these people? I ordered some thing's from them almost 2 week's ago, and I have no part's and the only response I get from them is a generic e-mail that say's all e-mail's will be handeled in the order they were recieved.I hope they don't bill for part's not sent.Does anyone have a phone # for them? I would be careful ordering from them for now. Thanks Tom

I am a long-time customer of GMPD. With that said, there have been occassions when I had to speak with a live humen being regarding a problem with an order, and at that point, with some digging, I came to learn that GMPD is nothing more than the internet face of Flow Chevrolet, out of Winston-Salem, NC:

    Flow Chevrolet - Parts Department
    1400 S Stratford Rd
    Winston Salem, NC 27103
    (336) 760-7038
    65 MM Convertible, L76 (365 hp)

      Tom-----

2 weeks is really not a long time for delivery of some parts. Sometimes, especially with parts for older applications, these parts have to come out of the Michigan main GM parts warehouses. From there, they have to get to the dealer's parts department (GMPD) via UPS ground. Then, they have to get packaged and shipped to you via UPS ground. All this can EASILY take longer than 2 weeks.

As far as charging for the parts, I really doubt that you've been charged unless they have been shipped. In most cases, it's against federal law to charge a credit card for items not actually shipped. I really doubt that GMPD would do this. Want to know if they've been charged? Just check your credit card account on-line or by phone. If they have been charged out recently, the chances are great that they are on their way to you. If they have not been charged, then you know that GMPD probably has not received them from GM and/or gotten them shipped to you. If they were charged out more than a week ago, then you need to contact them for a tracking number or follow-up with the shipper.

Thank's for the response. Jack I will call them on Monday. I have looked for a phone# on thier web site and could not find one. Joe I realize 2 week's is not to bad, but when I get no response from someone I get a little nervous. Thank's again. Tom Stanton
