    Actually Rich, that was one of the first things I mentioned to Jerry when we were discussing the ridiculous probability of the "mangled beyond repair" theory. I can see the spring punching through the box and someone recognizing it as a Corvette part. But would they put their job on the line to steal it?

    Stranger things happen everyday I'm sure. Who knows..

        I have a friend who purchased an entire rear axle assembly, drum to drum. Fed-X shipped it lashed down to a pallet, and "lost" it. One has to wonder how something like that can be "lost"!!??
        It reminds me of the final scene in "Raiders of the Lost Arc"

            Yes Verne !

            But in this scenario the rear goes to a Corvette knowledgeable warehouse.....
            I can promise it doesn't sit too long before it gets used on a real car.
