Has anyone used the stainless reproduction trim from LIC? They sell both chrome and stainless, and the stainless is half the price. I have a set of the HDPE (original material) backs from Paragon, which are supposed to be thinner than the ABS repro's. One of my concerns is that I will still have to "open up" the trim a little to slide it over the back. Will chrome crack if I bend the metal? Your experiences with this are most welcomed.
Brandon - They may have been chromed instead of stainless. I did them back in 1993, so my memory is sketchy. Either way, I doubt you will have chrome cracking with gentle persuasion while fitting them in.

Gentel persuation no , but you can't pry them open much wider then they already are ! That will indeed crack the chrome. In fact the more chrome you have , ie replated, the more of a chance for cracking >
