I recently ordered new carpeting for my coupe. The rear area main piece came with the "wings" spliced onto the larger piece.
I also thought the edging material was sewn around these. I found out in an earlier post that this is incorrect. The "wing" edges were NOT bound originally, although a carpet set by ACC, ordered a few years ago, had bound edges. (I also found a photo of a "survivor" in which the carpet in question does not appear to be bound on the wing edges)
My question: Was the original main rear carpet piece fabricated from 3 pieces of carpet? The main piece with the 2 "wings" sewn/spliced onto the main piece.
This is what Al Knoch is stating as "correct" for this application.
Thanks
Steve
