Thanks for your opinions, comments and observations on whether or not to let my college kid drive my '99 C-5, both for and against, which are posted below. I have never seen such a wide, diverse varity of personalities and characters who post on this board.
I would like to point out that I NEVER was opposed to letting him drive it, but merely wanted some additional input, especially after hearing about Richard Petty's grandson today, who was also 19.
We had a conversation whereby I would let him drive, with me in the passenger seat, around the neighborhood until he was used to the car. His answer was "Totally awesome, I just hope the car can handle my superior driving skills".
We haven't even gone out yet, and already there is a yellow caution flag waving in front of me. We will see, said the blind man. Thanks again, Patrick
